Semiotic Analysis of 16s clip

Mise-en-scene

The lighting is blue and a bit dull, the lighting is constant thought out the 16 sec. intertextuality of the film "Hallowing".

The other antagonist "the villain" is wearing a black hoodie with a hood up as well as a creepy mask. The mask is covered in red paint which has a connotation of blood and danger. The black hoodie connote that this person is a stalker and hides himself.
The light was lit behind her which makes her a bit bit.
The scene is set at night which denotes that she is a venerable 

Cinematography 

A extreme long shot of the central protagonist. This was made to show the audience that she is the one everyone should focus on as well as letting where and when the shot was taking place at. Centrally framed to show that she is the key character. To make is more outstanding they coulee placed her on the edge of the frame which will make the action happen at the back.

A point of view shot was made to show the perspective of stalker.

Medium shot go the protagonist walking. This was made to show the person following behind her.

Hight angle to show the shadow of the central protagonist and the key see is venerable. 

Panning the camera to the left towards the follower which a typical convention of horror genre.

Close up of her face screaming to show her emotions to the audience and pass on her fear. 

Sound

exaggerated diegetic sound of a heart pumping which signifies that the character is scared and to create tension.
Ambient sound is missing as we can't hear the footsteps as we can only hear the heartbeat. 

diegetic sound of the central protagonist screaming this signifies that the central protagonist is being kidnapped without actually seeing the action. 

Editing

When a point of view shot is made and changes to a extreme long shot the antagonist is moving in point of view shot but stops at the extreme long shot.
Blue filter/hue 

The scene begins with the central protagonist walking town the street. The camera is placed in the centre  and tightly framed so the audience could see the key character. She is walking slowly and does not seem to be in a hurry. In terms of light it is blue and a bit dull. The blue lighting creates intertextuality of a movie "Halloween".  This straight away tells us that the movie is horror genre. 

The scene then changes to a point of view panning shot which starts with close up of the rocks and pans towards the central protagonist, this signifies that the person whose point of view it is may be the potential antagonist. From this shot we can tell that someone is following the girl. In terms of editing the  panning is not smooth as well which tells the audience that this is a point of view.
